Hardfacing Weld Electrode for Carbon and Low Alloy Steels
FUSION™ 600E
FUSION™ 600 E, a hardfacing electrode, is an excellent option for carbon and low alloy steels,
cast iron and manganese, bonding readily to all. It is intended for applications with impact and
abrasion resistant qualities, being the optimum choice to the combination. The deposits take a
high polish, contributing the wear qualities, and applies well out of position.
FUSION™ 600 E, a hardfacing electrode, is an excellent option for carbon and low alloy steels, cast iron and manganese, bonding readily to all. Primary applications for FUSION™ 600 E involve severe abrasion with moderate to heavy impact. It is normally used for earth-to-metal wear or wear due to abrasion of other particulate material. FUSION™ 600 E is a solid cored electrode with a heavy extruded coating which contains the alloying elements. It can be applied out of position. Deposits are uniform with excellent bead appearance and slag removal. It develops surface checks and is not machinable or forgeable. Compressive strength is very high.
