West Virginia Coal Show
The West Virginia Coal Show is set to return to Charleston, West Virginia, on April 15 and 16, 2025, at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center. This biennial event serves as a pivotal gathering for professionals in the coal industry, offering a comprehensive platform for networking, showcasing innovations, and discussing current challenges and opportunities within the sector.
In conjunction with the Coal Show, the West Virginia Coal Association will host its 51st Annual Mining Symposium. Scheduled for the same dates, the symposium is co-sponsored by the West Virginia Coal Mining Institute and will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers addressing timely topics relevant to mining professionals. Participants can also earn engineering credits during the symposium.
The 2025 Coal Show is anticipated to be a sold-out event, attracting exhibitors and attendees from across the nation. Companies like McLanahan Corporation have already confirmed their participation, with McLanahan planning to showcase their latest solutions for coal mining operations.
For accommodations, special room blocks have been arranged at nearby hotels, including the Courtyard Charleston Downtown/Civic Center, Marriott Town Center, and Embassy Suites. Attendees are encouraged to book early, as these rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

WVCS exhibition registration is free, but you can also register for the WVCA 51st Annual Mining Symposium. This year’s Symposium is cosponsored by the West Virginia Coal Mining Institute and will serve as our combined Mining symposium and Joint Spring meeting. The program will feature a lineup of excellent speakers and timely topics geared for all mining professionals. Engineering credits will also be available for Symposium participants.
