Chromeweld Ti was designed for use in abrasion applications with significant impact.
JADCO developed Chromeweld Ti as a plate more abrasion resistant than QT-Plus ®; with greater impact resistant than other Chrome Carbide Overlay (CCO) plates.
Chromeweld Ti is made specifically to withstand impact substantially better than other abrasion resistant CCO products from other vendors.
We Enhanced The Level Of Titanium To Take Impact
Adding Titanium delivers the ability to take significant impact with a Chrome Carbide Overlay plate. Traditional CCO plates often fail when a 24” rock falls six feet onto a feeder deck.
When making steel, metallurgists are able to control specific elements down to 0.002% to enhance specific wear resistant characteristics.
JADCO has created SIX DIFFERENT clad plate products for your most challenging applications. While most of our wear plate competitors continue to only offer a ‘one-size-fits-all’ type of CCO plate.
The results in Chromeweld Ti being less abrasive resistant than Chromeweld 600 ™. But it definitely is more abrasive resistant than any type of heat-treated plate such any of the AR type steels. It is even more abrasive resistant than our own QT-PLUS ®. Chromeweld Ti effectively bridges the gap where you would like to use a CCO plate for abrasion resistance, but are fearful of having too much impact.How Do You Select Chromeweld Ti Over QT-Plus ®?
