COMPLEX Carbide Overlay Plate FOR ULTRA-DEMANDING CONDITIONS
CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX CHROMIUM CARBIDE PLATE
Incredible hardness, unrivaled performance
CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX typical hardness ranges from 65 – 70 HRC and will remain abrasion resistant at temperatures up to 1100 degrees F.
CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX plate surface exhibits fissures which are typical stress relieving characteristics essential to the abrasion and impact performance.
CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX Fabrication Facts
Mechanical Information
CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX typical hardness range from 65-70 HRC depending upon deposit thickness. The surface of the plate is a composite of tungsten carbide combined with chromium iron carbides. The surface of the plate exhibits numerous hairline cracks which are essential to the performance of the plate and enable it to be formed, bent and rolled without damage.
Welding: CHROMEWELD™ COMPLEX overlay plate can be joined by welding the substrate to work piece using JADCO FUSION™ Universal, a high strength, work hardened stainless steel that can be welded to dissimilar metals, designed for harsh working environments. 309 and similar wire/rod may also be used. Typical structural rods/wires such as E7018, E71T1 and similar may also be used so long as the weld bead stays 2mm below the hard face material. For substrate to substrate joining use Jadco Fusion Universal or 309 weld wire/rod. Liner plates can be plug welded to the work piece. Stud welds can be applied. It is highly recommended that stainless steel studs be used. All weld seams, plug weld holes, bolt holes and all joints exposed to wear should be protected with surface welds of JADCO FUSION™ Nb.
