This consistent deposit delivers excellent abrasion resistance. The scale shown in red is 200 microns. A micron is 1,000th of a millimeter. This means if you were to make the distance shown in red five (5) time longer, it would equal ONE millimeter. And would be the entire width of the image.

Now compare this competitor’s CCO which has dramatically less carbide formation at the top with fewer carbides as you go deeper into the thickness of the deposit. This plate will deliver inconsistent wear life. The photo was also taken at the 200 micron level.
