JADCO • Rich F.2023-03-15T10:31:02-04:00Today is Thursday March 18th, 2023 and we are reviewing Haul Trucks.
Haul trucks are an integral part of many fleets, and are abused all day long.
When mining in the arctic, the haul trucks’ steel wear plate are subjected to continual heavy impact in -40° temperatures. Most wear plates will crack in these conditions. This is why JADCO QT-Plus ® is the go-to wear plate in the arctic circle, because it withstands in the world’s most extreme weather.
To provide the best wear resistance in your haul trucks, JADCO has liner kits made with QT-Plus ® to handle wear in the impact zone.
While the beaver tail which has the entire payload sliding off the back with every load, uses Chromeweld ™ 600 to deliver 3 times longer life than AR steels.
Another major area of abuse in haul trucks, are the heater boxes, the coves running through the bottom of the box. Often made from ¼” steel, dropping large rocks will beat them up, leading to faster wear. JADCO QT-Plus ® requires FOUR TIMES THE FORCE to bend, compared to mild steel of the same thickness. What is the condition of your heater boxes?
