There are no bonus points for getting the correct fit “close” when you are installing wear resistant steel replacement parts. Either they fit or they don’t, “close” doesn’t work here.

To Make It Work, The Importance Is In The Details

This is why JADCO takes the time to get every detail correct. When you order a replacement component from anyone including the OEM, you expect it to fit like it just came from the factory.

Here is a loader at a Midwest Aggregate Pit. The owners have invested in new equipment and are committed to Preventative Maintenance. They have four of these loaders, all the same make and model.

This operator opted to install JADCO QT-Plus ^® wear liners on all of his loaders to preserve the bucket before they were seriously abused and worn out. By ordering four new loaders within 18 months, the buckets should all be the same, correct? You would think so.

Yet here is where attention to the details make all the difference in the world.

Examining the factors involved in just abrasive wear applications, we see the following:

To get the required measurements, we start with the bottom straight first. It goes from the center of the Mold Board weld, to the tangent. On this sketch the tangent is shown by the lower point of the Chord. The Tangent is where the wear steel begins to curve upward from the flat bottom.

The Important Point Here Is All Four New Loaders, Came With The Same Capacity Bucket

Yet the dimensions were not the same!

Here are the Bottom Straight dimensions for each of the four loader buckets:

Had we stopped after measuring the first unit for a quote, the customer might have assumed they were all the same and ordered four liners. If the customer had done that, the other three liners would not have fit. By measuring each loader, we made certain each liner fit the correct loader.
