Are Wear Steel Challenges Obstacles Or Opportunities?

Where most people only see obstacles, JADCO representatives see a ton of opportunities that are available to anyone who takes the time to look for the real causes of your issues.

A competitor viewed a recent paper industry wear plate installation in person, where JADCO suggested a different approach to address the CAUSE of their wear.  For decades they had continued to swap out AR400, AR450 or AR500 wear plate; only treating the symptoms. 

Time after time, year after year, nothing improved. The customer assumed this was simply the standard wear life, and accepted they had to live with the results.

After seeing the new installation of JADCO Chromeweld ™ 600 in person, their former vendor’s immediate response was, “We could have done that for you.” The customer instantly shot back, “Then why didn’t you bring it up instead of continuing to sell me what didn’t work year after year?” As you can imagine, his red face was rapidly followed by plenty of stammering and excuses.

You can make money, or you can make excuses. The decision is up to you.

Poor Salespeople Deserve Their Bad Reputation

An uneducated salesman will try to convince you what they are selling might work for you; maybe.  And when you don’t see things from their narrow perspective, it makes no sense at all.  So they push you, trying to get you to order from them today.

They are trying hard to win you over. The only reason someone tries to convince you to order today, is to steal the contents of your wallet.

When you recognize the items they want you to buy do not benefit you, their attempts to convince you differently can turn into an argument.

When that happens, you immediately know this frustrated salesperson doesn’t have the right solution for your application. Rather than suggest a different product or vendor who can resolve your issue; they struggle more trying to convince you to use whatever they are trying to sell. All for their benefit, not yours.

A perfect example is the stereotypical used car salesman. They only have a limited number of cars to sell, so they try to convince you to buy what they have. Using these exact same tactics, poor salesmen develop a terrible reputation through high pressure negotiations; resulting in mistrust of most salespeople.

And then try to use high pressure tactics because they cannot show any value, making their product a better choice than the next guy.

In a weak moment some may admit what they are selling is no different than what anyone else is offering.  The reason is simple – most of them buy what is commercially available; just like every steel service center.  When they all sell the same thing, the only difference is price.

Because there are No Industry Standards for wear plate, let’s take a look at what is different. Then you can see why they have to resort to high pressure or unethical efforts to get a sale, since there is no difference from one to another.
